The apples of the future

It is known by all kindergarteners that eating apples is healthy. Therefore, it is essential that we set an example to the coming generation, provide them with the best things possible, making them happier and full of vitality in this way.

For this purpose, we have launched our School Apple Programme for kindergarteners and schoolchildren and regularly organise trips to our orchards. We would like children to learn that apples are not produced in bags or boxes.

Our apples

An apple must be immaculate both outside and inside. We have endeavoured to achieve this perfection of Derecske Apples for 14 years, since the day the first saplings were planted in our apple orchard.

Since then, Derecske Apples have been ranked as one of the most delicious fruits throughout the country, thanks to their unique taste and excellent quality. This standard is supported by the customers’ satisfaction and the prizes awarded to us.

Also, the good reputation of Derecske Apples is enhanced by the fact that apples are gathered by a highly trained, permanent staff, who has grown well accustomed to each other. Each apple is selected with maximum care and attention so that the most excellent ones get on our customers’ tables. This immaculacy is promoted by our cold store, too, which is uniquely equipped in Hungary. Here an oxygen-deficient atmosphere is established so that apples preserve their condition at gathering.

Protection of apples

Since environment-consciousness is a high priority in our own lives, too, we pay special attention to this issue when producing Derecske Apples, too. We preserve our customers’ health and our environment by applying pesticides free of harmful substances. Besides, researches are regularly conducted (research findings link) on the methods to produce even healthier fruit for our consumers.

Hortico 2006. Debrecen “Product Grand Prize”
In 2006 this prize was awarded to Derecske Apples because that time this product was already an excellent example of fruit growing in Hungary.
This award was aimed at promoting the marketing of high-quality products that are competitive at both the national and international markets, are produced in Hungary.
